1840's Leather Travelling Case
This French leather hat case is in exceptional condition and dates to the 1840’s. The inside of the case includes a floral design with the hat ‘cushion’ stuffed with horsehair, adding additional protection for its contents. The exterior of the case is finished with brass buckles and supports, whilst a wooden underlayer protects the bottom of the case during transport. The exception to detail is very fine, and the case is extremely rare.
